Veerabhadrudu (2026)

Veerabhadrudu is a high-octane Telugu-language fantasy action thriller that was released in theatres on 14 May 2026. Directed by RJ Balaji, with music composed by Sai Abhyankkar, the film stars Suriya, Trisha, Indrans, Natty, Mansoor Ali Khan, Swasika, Sshivadha, Anagha Maya Ravi, Supreeth Reddy, and others. It serves as the official Telugu dubbed version of the Tamil film Karuppu and was distributed in the Telugu states by Annapurna Studios. The movie also marks Suriya’s 45th lead role in his career.

The story revolves around Binu, a young girl who travels to Chennai with her father in search of an urgent liver transplant. Their hopes are shattered when the gold meant for her treatment is stolen, leaving them trapped in a web of corruption, bureaucracy, and legal delays. After the system ultimately fails them and leads to Binu’s tragic death, her grieving father performs an ancient ritual to summon the guardian deity Veerabhadrudu. In response, the divine force takes human form as Saravana (Suriya), a powerful figure who rises to deliver justice and fight against the evils of a broken society. Veerabhadrudu blends mythology, fantasy, and social drama into an action-packed and emotionally charged narrative.
