Suriya

Suriya, born as Saravanan Sivakumar on 23 July 1975 in Chennai, is an Indian actor, producer, and television presenter who mainly works in Tamil cinema. He is the son of veteran actor Sivakumar and made his acting debut with Nerrukku Ner in 1997. Suriya gained widespread recognition through acclaimed films such as Nandhaa (2001) and Kaakha Kaakha (2003). Over the years, he has showcased his versatility with memorable performances in movies like Ghajini, Vaaranam Aayiram, Ayan, and the hugely successful Singam franchise. His achievements include two National Film Awards and several Filmfare Awards South, making him one of the most respected actors in Indian cinema.
Apart from acting, Suriya is also a successful producer through his banner, 2D Entertainment, which has produced critically acclaimed films such as Soorarai Pottru and Jai Bhim. He is deeply involved in social work through the Agaram Foundation, an organization that supports the education of underprivileged students in Tamil Nadu.
