Thaman S

Thaman S is a prominent composer and playback singer, he is widely recognized for his work in Telugu and Tamil cinema. Growing up in a family of musicians in Chennai, he was greatly influenced by his grandfather, Ghantasala Balaramayya, a noted filmmaker. His father, Ghantasala Siva Kumar, was a skilled drummer, while his mother, sister Yamini, and aunt B. Vasantha made their mark as playback singers.

Thaman began his musical journey at the age of 11, working as a supporting drummer for the film Bhairava Dweepam (1994). His career as a music director started in 2009 with the Telugu movie Malli Malli and the Tamil film Sindhanai Sei. Additionally, he appeared as an actor in the 2003 film Boys, directed by Shankar.
