Irumudi (2026)

Irumudi is an Indian Telugu-language devotional emotional drama scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on 21 August 2026. Directed by Shiva Nirvana, the film features music composed by GV Prakash Kumar and stars “Mass Maharaja” Ravi Teja in a grounded and emotionally powerful role. Blending spirituality, family emotions, and human resilience, the film explores the strength of faith and the extraordinary lengths a father can go to protect his child.

The story follows an alcohol-addicted father with a troubled and violent past who has chosen to live a peaceful life with his young daughter near a waterfall. At his daughter’s request, he decides to undertake the sacred Ayyappa Deeksha and begins his pilgrimage carrying the traditional Irumudi bag. Accompanied by his daughter (Baby Nakshathra), he faces a series of intense financial, social, and personal challenges that test his determination and faith. As his difficult journey unfolds, he struggles to protect his family while remaining committed to his spiritual path. Its presents an emotional story of fatherhood, redemption, devotion, and resilience in the face of adversity.
