Akhanda 2: Thaandavam is a 2025 Telugu-language fantasy action-thriller directed by Boyapati Sreenu and serves as a direct sequel to the 2021 blockbuster Akhanda. Nandamuri Balakrishna reprises his powerful dual role as Murali Krishna and the fierce Aghora warrior Akhanda. The sequel raises the stakes dramatically, expanding the conflict from local temple issues to a global biological warfare threat. The film also stars Samyuktha Menon, Aadhi Pinisetty, Harshaali Malhotra, and Kabir Duhan Singh, with music composed by Thaman S. It was released theatrically on 12 December 2025.

The story centers on Janani (Harshaali Malhotra), a 16-year-old prodigy and the young girl protected by Akhanda in the first film. Now a brilliant scientist, she develops a vaccine to counter a deadly bioweapon planned to be unleashed at the Maha Kumbh Mela by a neighboring nation. When international mercenaries led by Vajra (Aadhi Pinisetty) attempt to eliminate her and suppress the antidote, Akhanda emerges once again from the Himalayas. The film builds toward a massive divine showdown, with Akhanda battling enemies and mystical forces to safeguard the nation’s spiritual and moral core.
