Vijay Prakash
Vijay Prakash is an Indian playback singer and music director known for his contributions to Kannada, Tamil, and Telugu films, as well as Hindi, Malayalam, and Marathi language films. Born on February 21, 1976, in Mysore, Karnataka, to Carnatic musicians Lopamudra and the late L. Ramasesha, Vijay was trained in Carnatic music under Bellary M. Raghavendra.
His remarkable talent gained international recognition when he contributed to the Academy Award-winning song “Jai Ho” from Slumdog Millionaire (2008), notably singing the high-pitched “Jai Ho” sections. Vijay Prakash is married to Mahathi Prakash, and they have a daughter named Kavya.
