Ugly Story (2026)

Ugly Story is an Indian Telugu-language psychological romantic thriller that was released in theatres on 22 May 2026. Written and directed by debutant filmmaker Pranava Swaroop, the film features music by Shravan Bharadwaj and stars Nandu, Avika Gor, Sivaji Raja, Ravi Teja Mahadasyam, Pragya, and others in important roles. The movie explores the darker side of relationships, focusing on themes such as obsession, rejection, emotional dependency, and psychological manipulation.

The story revolves around Neha (Avika Gor), whose peaceful life changes completely after meeting Karthik (Nandu). What begins as a simple attraction soon turns into a dangerous obsession, as Karthik becomes unable to accept that Neha loves someone else, Gowtham (Ravi Teja Mahadasyam). Struggling with rejection, he gradually slips into a disturbing psychological state and begins controlling and stalking her. As his behavior becomes increasingly threatening, Neha finds herself fighting to escape a terrifying situation. Ugly Story presents an intense and suspenseful narrative that examines the destructive consequences of obsessive love and emotional instability.
