The TAJ Story (2025)

The TAJ Story is a Hindi-language social drama directed by Tushar Amrish Goel, centered on a controversial historical and legal debate surrounding the origins of the Taj Mahal. The film stars Paresh Rawal as Vishnu Das, an Agra-based tourist guide who, after a viral video humiliation, files a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) challenging the conventional history of the monument. He asserts that the Taj Mahal was originally an ancient palace or temple, rather than a structure built by Emperor Shah Jahan.

The narrative unfolds primarily as a courtroom drama, featuring Zakir Hussain as the opposing counsel, where the protagonist attempts to use historical evidence and personal conviction to uncover what he believes is the “real” truth about the iconic monument. The film’s music is composed by Rohit Sharma and Rahul Dev Nath. It was released theatrically on 31 October 2025.
