Shweta Mohan
Shweta Mohan is an Indian playback singer known for her work in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi cinema. She was born on November 19, 1985, in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, into a Malayali family. She is the daughter of the well-known playback singer Sujatha Mohan. Shweta began her training in Carnatic music at the age of 9, and as a child artiste, she recorded the chorus for songs like ‘Kuchi kuchi rakkamma’ from Bombay (1995) and ‘Accham accham illai’ from Indira (1995), both composed by A. R. Rahman.
Shweta has since established herself as a versatile and soulful vocalist with a unique voice, earning recognition and success across various regional film industries. She has collaborated with top music directors and contributed to several chart-topping tracks, garnering numerous accolades for her performances.
