Shashwat Sachdev
Shashwat Sachdev is a well-known Indian composer, singer, and lyricist, recognised for his powerful film scores and his ability to blend Indian classical music with modern cinematic sound. Born in Jaipur, Rajasthan, he began learning music at the age of three, training in Hindustani classical vocals under Ustad Ramzan Khan and later studying Western classical piano. Shashwat worked in Hollywood for several years starting in 2011 before returning to India in 2016.
He made his Bollywood debut as a music composer with Phillauri (2017). He received major acclaim for the background score of Uri: The Surgical Strike (2019), winning the National Film Award for Best Background Music. Alongside his film work, he also creates and releases independent music, showcasing his versatility as a modern Indian music artist.
