Shambhala (2025)

Shambhala is a 2025 Telugu-language mystical action-horror thriller directed by Ugandhar Muni. The film marked a strong comeback for Aadi Saikumar, who delivered one of his most mature and restrained performances. Set in the 1980s, the story takes place in a remote and deeply superstitious village called Shambhala. The cast includes Aadi Saikumar, Archana Iyerr, Swasika Vijay, Madhunandan, Ravi Varma, Harsha Vardhan, Annapoorna, and others. Music for the film is composed by Sricharan Pakala, and it was released theatrically on 25 December 2025 as a Christmas release.

The plot begins after a mysterious meteor strike triggers strange supernatural events and violent self-inflicted deaths among villagers. Vikram (Aadi Saikumar), a rational geoscientist, is sent to investigate and initially believes radiation from the meteor is responsible. However, he clashes with the village priest and sarpanch, who are convinced that a demonic force has been unleashed. As the mystery deepens, the film explores the concept of the “Arishadvargas” (the six enemies of the mind), linking human inner vices to the terrifying external horrors, blending mythology, science, and superstition into a gripping narrative.
