Shaan
Shaan, born Shantanu Mukherjee on September 30, 1972, is a celebrated Indian playback singer, composer, actor, and television host, renowned for his melodious voice and versatility. With a career spanning decades, he has sung in multiple Indian languages, including Hindi, Bengali, Kannada, and Telugu. Coming from a family of musicians, Shaan’s grandfather, Jahar Mukherjee, was a lyricist, his father, Manas Mukherjee, a music director, and his sister, Sagarika, is a singer.
Born and raised in Mumbai, Maharashtra, Shaan began his career singing jingles for advertisements. In 1999, he gained recognition by singing his first film songs in Pyaar Mein Kabhi Kabhi. He has appeared in a few films and won many awards, including the prestigious Filmfare and National Film Awards. His charismatic presence as a host on music reality shows has further cemented his popularity in the entertainment industry.
