Satinder Sartaaj
Satinder Sartaaj, whose original name is Satinder Pal Singh, is a renowned Indian singer, songwriter, poet, composer, and actor known for his Punjabi songs and films. Born on August 31, 1982, in Bajrawar village, Hoshiarpur, Punjab, he developed a passion for music and poetry at a young age. Sartaaj holds a master’s degree in music and a Ph.D. in Sufi singing, highlighting his dedication to the art.
He also pursued a certificate course and diploma in Persian (Farsi) to deepen his understanding of Sufi poetry. He later taught at the Music Department of Punjab University for six years. Sartaaj gained fame for his unique style, blending traditional Punjabi folk with Sufi music, earning a global audience. In 2017, he made his acting debut with the Hollywood film The Black Prince and his Punjabi debut with Ikko Mikke (2020).
