Salman Ali

Salman Ali is an Indian playback singer and live performer who gained nationwide recognition after winning Season 10 of the popular singing reality show Indian Idol in 2018. Born in Punhana, Haryana, he comes from a family with a strong musical background, where singing has been a tradition for generations. Even before his Indian Idol victory, Salman had impressed audiences as the runner-up of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa L’il Champs in 2011. His soulful voice, wide vocal range, and command over Sufi, classical, and Bollywood music quickly made him one of India’s most admired young singers.
After his success on television, Salman Ali established himself as a playback singer in the Indian music industry. He made his Bollywood playback debut with “Jai He” from the film Satellite Shankar (2019) and later earned further popularity with songs such as “Awara” from Dabangg 3 (2019).
