Ranabaali (2026)

Ranabaali is a 2026 Telugu-language historical action drama directed by Rahul Sankrityan. It is a pan-Indian project and has created huge buzz as it marks the first on-screen collaboration of Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna after their real-life wedding on February 26, 2026.

The story is set in 19th-century colonial India (1878) and follows the journey of a brave freedom fighter, Ranabaali (played by Vijay Deverakonda), who rises against British rule in the drought-affected regions of Rayalaseema. The film explores the idea of a “cursed land” during a time of great suffering and is inspired by lesser-known historical accounts of colonial exploitation and man-made famines. This film is scheduled for a grand worldwide theatrical release on September 11, 2026.
