Pradeep Ranganathan
Pradeep Ranganathan, born on 25 July 1993 in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, is a multi-talented Indian film director, actor, screenwriter, lyricist, and playback singer known for his work in Tamil cinema. He studied engineering at SSN College of Engineering before choosing a career in filmmaking. He began his journey by creating short films, where he independently handled direction, acting, and editing, showcasing his all-round creative skills.
He made his feature film directorial debut with Comali (2019), a successful comedy-drama that received both commercial success and critical praise, earning him the SIIMA Award for Best Debut Director. Pradeep gained major recognition as an actor with Love Today (2022), a film he also wrote and directed, which became a blockbuster and won him the Filmfare Award South for Best Male Debut. He later starred in and contributed creatively to films like Dragon (2025) and Dude (2025), both of which crossed the ₹100 crore mark. Known for blending youthful themes with emotional depth, Pradeep Ranganathan is considered one of the most promising talents in contemporary Tamil cinema.
