Peddi (2026)

Peddi (originally announced under the working title RC16) is a grand Telugu-language sports action drama that was released worldwide on 4 June 2026. Written and directed by Buchi Babu Sana, the film features music composed by A. R. Rahman and stars Ram Charan, Janhvi Kapoor, Shiva Rajkumar, Jagapathi Babu, and Divyendu Sharma in important roles. Set in rural Andhra Pradesh during the 1980s, the movie combines sports, social issues, and emotional storytelling on a large cinematic scale.

The story follows Peddi (Ram Charan), an aata coolie who lives in a village suffering under the control of powerful upper-caste landlords. Gifted with extraordinary talent in cricket and wrestling, Peddi becomes a symbol of hope and pride for his community. After a tragic incident shakes the village, he brings people together through sports to stand against injustice. However, a devastating leg injury ends his sporting career and changes his life forever. Refusing to surrender, Peddi adapts to a running blade prosthetic and reinvents himself as a para-athlete, continuing his fight for dignity and justice on a much larger stage. Peddi is a powerful story of courage, resilience, and the strength of the human spirit.
