Om Shanti Shanti Shantihi (2026)

Om Shanti Shanti Shantihi is a 2026 Telugu-language dark comedy-drama that arrived in theaters on 30 January 2026. Directed by debutant A.R. Sajeev, the film is the official Telugu remake of the 2022 Malayalam blockbuster Jaya Jaya Jaya Jaya Hey. It features a unique pairing of director-actor Tharun Bhascker and Eesha Rebba in the lead roles.

Set in the rural Godavari region, the story follows Prashanthi (Eesha Rebba), a woman who has spent her life under strict family control and hopes to find freedom through marriage. She marries Omkar Naidu (Tharun Bhascker), a short-tempered fishery businessman, only to discover his deeply chauvinistic and abusive nature. In a refreshing twist on the traditional “damsel in distress” narrative, Prashanthi refuses to remain a victim—she secretly trains herself in martial arts and begins to fight back, turning the domestic power dynamic upside down. The film’s music is composed by Jay Krish.
