Mowgli (2025)

Mowgli (subtitled 2025) is a Telugu-language romantic action-drama directed by Sandeep Raj, who earlier won a National Award for his debut film Colour Photo. The film stars Roshan Kanakala, son of Rajeev Kanakala and Suma Kanakala, in a rugged transformation for his second lead role, alongside debutante Sakkshi Mhadolkar. The supporting cast includes Bandi Saroj Kumar, Harsha Chemudu, Krishna Bhagavan, and Srinivas Avasarala. Music for the film is composed by Kaala Bhairava, and it was released theatrically on 13 December 2025.

The story revolves around Murali Krishna, also known as “Mowgli” (Roshan Kanakala), a wild and free-spirited young man raised close to nature in a forest setting. His life changes when he falls in love with Varsha, also called Jasmine (Sakkshi Mhadolkar), a group dancer who arrives in his region with a film unit. Their love faces a brutal challenge when a cruel and power-hungry police officer, Christopher Nolan (Bandi Saroj Kumar), interferes. Framed as a clash between love and lust, the film follows Mowgli’s fight to protect his beloved and his forest home against modern cruelty and oppression.
