Mercy (2026)

Mercy is a Hindi-language indie family drama that was released in theatres on 24 April 2026. The film is written and directed by Mitul Patel and stars Raj Vasudeva, Niharica Raizada, Kunal Bhan, and Adil Hussain in important roles. The movie deals with the deeply sensitive subject of passive euthanasia (mercy killing) and explores the emotional and ethical struggles families face during end-of-life medical decisions.

The story follows Shekhar (Raj Vasudeva), an engineer who returns from the United States to Mumbai to care for his bedridden mother, Sujata (Aparna Ghoshal). When Sujata falls into a coma with very little hope of recovery, Shekhar faces a heartbreaking choice — whether to continue treatment while hoping for a miracle or to end her suffering by making the painful decision to let her go. Mercy presents an emotional and thought-provoking narrative about love, responsibility, and moral conflict.
