Mani Sharma

Mani Sharma, born as Yanamandra Venkata Subrahmanya Sharma on 11 July 1964 in Machilipatnam, Andhra Pradesh, is an acclaimed Indian composer and music producer. He is widely known for his work in the Telugu and Tamil film industries, as well as his contributions to Hindi and Kannada cinema. Raised in Chennai, Sharma was inspired by his father, a violinist who collaborated with composer Saluru Rajeswara Rao. He began his musical journey as a programmer, working under S. Rajeswara Rao, Ramesh Naidu, and M. M. Keeravani. His breakthrough came in 1992, when he composed background scores for Ram Gopal Varma’s films Raathri and Antham, and a song for Antham.
