Mangli
Mangli, born on June 10, 1994, in Gooty, Andhra Pradesh, is an acclaimed Indian playback singer, television presenter, and actress. She hails from the Banjara community and speaks Lambadi. Her passion for music was nurtured by her father from a young age, leading her to earn a diploma in Carnatic Music from SV University. Initially aspiring to be a music teacher, she later launched her career in Hyderabad and Bengaluru.
Mangli gained prominence in 2013 with her appearance as a guest artist on the Telugu news channel V6 News for the Dasara festival show ‘Dhoom Dham’. She rose to fame through her role as Maatakari Mangli in the satirical news show ‘Teenmaar Vaarthalu’ alongside Bithiri Sathi. She also worked on ‘Jordar News’ for HMTV and now anchors and performs folk songs on MIC TV, hosting celebrity interviews titled ‘Mangli Muchata’.
Celebrated for her energetic performances during Telangana festivals like Bathukamma and Bonalu, Mangli is widely recognized for her vibrant songs in Telugu and other Indian languages, including Kannada, Tamil, and Hindi. Her sister, Indravathi Chauhan, is also a noted singer.
