Madharaasi (2025)

Madharaasi (meaning “Man from Madras”) is a Tamil-language psychological action thriller directed by A. R. Murugadoss, marking his return to high-intensity action cinema. The film stars Sivakarthikeyan in one of the most intense and complex roles of his career, alongside Rukmini Vasanth, Vidyut Jammwal, Biju Menon, Shabeer Kallarakkal, and Vikranth. Music for the film is composed by Anirudh Ravichander. Released theatrically on 5 September 2025, the film was also dubbed into Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi, with the Hindi version titled Dil Madharaasi.

The story follows Raghuram (Sivakarthikeyan), a deeply traumatized man suffering from Fregoli delusion, a rare psychological disorder that makes him believe strangers are actually people he knows. Haunted by a tragic past in which he witnessed his family die in a bus fire, Raghu lives with a death wish. His suicidal nature draws the attention of Premnath (Biju Menon), an injured NIA officer trying to stop an illegal arms syndicate led by Virat (Vidyut Jammwal). Prem recruits Raghu for a dangerous suicide mission to infiltrate and destroy the syndicate’s gas factory hideout, turning Raghu’s desire for death into a fight against crime and chaos.
