Krsna

KR$NA, whose real name is Krishna Kaul, is an influential Indian rapper, songwriter, and producer from New Delhi, widely respected for his sharp lyricism, technical skill, and long-standing presence in the Desi hip-hop scene. He began his career in the mid-2000s under the stage names Prozpekt and YoungProzpekt, and quickly emerged as one of the earliest Indian hip-hop artists to gain attention for his conscious, poetic rap style.
One of his major early breakthroughs came with the socially conscious track “Kaisa Mera Desh” (2010), which went viral on YouTube and played a key role in bringing Indian rap to a wider audience. Over the years, KR$NA has released multiple albums and mixtapes, collaborated with top Indian and international artists, and earned a reputation for pushing lyrical boundaries in both Hindi and English rap. Beyond his solo work, he has also been part of major hip-hop movements, including a cameo appearance in the film Gully Boy (2019), further cementing his influence in the Indian music scene.
