Javed Ali
Javed Ali, born Javed Hussain on July 5, 1982, in Delhi, is a renowned Indian playback singer, known for his work in Hindi and several other Indian languages including Telugu. He started his musical journey under the mentorship of his father, Ustad Hamid Hussain, a renowned qawwali singer. Ghazal maestro Ghulam Ali recognized his potential early on, inspiring Javed to adopt the name Javed Ali in honor of his mentor. Javed’s breakthrough came with the hit song “Ek Din Teri Raahon Mein” from Naqaab (2007), which marked the beginning of his rise to fame in the Bollywood music industry.
