Hey Balwanth (2026)

Hey Balwanth is a 2026 Telugu-language comedy-drama that was released in theatres on 20 February 2026. Just four days before its release, the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) asked the makers to change the title from Hey Bhagavan to Hey Balwanth due to concerns about religious sentiments. Directed by debutant Gopi Atchara with music composed by Vivek Sagar, the film stars Suhas and Shivani Nagaram in the lead roles.

The story follows Krishna (Suhas), a young man who has always admired his father Rao Balwanth (VK Naresh) and dreams of taking over the family’s “successful” business. However, his life takes a shocking turn when he learns that the mysterious business is actually a lodge connected to the sex trade. As Krishna tries to sell the business while hiding the truth from his girlfriend Mithra (Shivani Nagaram), the situation leads to many chaotic and funny misunderstandings involving local politicians and Mithra’s traditional family.
