Harris Jayaraj

Harris Jayaraj (born 8 January 1975 in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India) is a highly respected Indian film composer, music producer, and musician known for his work in Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi cinema. Born into a musical family, he developed an interest in music from a young age and received formal training in Carnatic music. He also mastered classical guitar and later worked as a session musician and music programmer for several leading composers before starting his independent journey.
Harris Jayaraj got his big breakthrough as a music director with the film Minnale (2001). The soundtrack became a huge success, especially with songs like “Vaseegara,” which quickly made him one of the leading music composers in South Indian cinema. Known for his fresh melodies, stylish sound design, and emotional compositions, Harris Jayaraj has continued to create many memorable songs and remains an influential name in Indian film music.
