Emraan Hashmi

Emraan Hashmi is an Indian actor who primarily works in Hindi cinema. Born on 24 March 1979 in Mumbai, Maharashtra, he comes from a family with strong roots in the Indian film industry. His father, Anwar Hashmi, worked as a businessman and also appeared in the 1968 film Baharon Ki Manzil, while his grandmother, Purnima (Meherbano Mohammad Ali), was a well-known actress. Through his maternal family, Emraan is part of the renowned Bhatt family, with filmmakers Mahesh Bhatt and Mukesh Bhatt being his uncles. He made his acting debut with Footpath (2003) and gradually established himself as one of Bollywood’s most popular actors.

Over the years, Emraan Hashmi has earned praise for portraying emotionally intense and complex characters across romantic dramas, action films, crime thrillers, and biographical stories.
