Dulquer Salmaan
Dulquer Salmaan is a popular Indian actor, producer, and singer who mainly works in Malayalam cinema, while also appearing in Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi films. He was born on 28 July 1986 in Kochi, Kerala, and is the son of legendary Malayalam actor Mammootty. Dulquer completed his bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Purdue University in the United States and later worked as a business manager in Dubai before deciding to pursue a career in acting. To prepare himself, he trained for three months at the Barry John Acting Studio in Mumbai.
He made his acting debut with the Malayalam film Second Show (2012), for which he won the Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut – South. Popularly known as “DQ,” Dulquer has earned a strong fan following for his versatility and charming screen presence across multiple languages. He made his Telugu film debut with Mahanati (2018), which brought him widespread recognition. Apart from acting, he runs a production company called Wayfarer Films, launched in 2020, and has also lent his voice as a singer in some of his films. Today, Dulquer Salmaan is regarded as one of the most sought-after and highest-paid actors in Malayalam cinema, with a growing presence across Indian films.
