Dhadak 2 (2025)

Dhadak 2 is a Hindi-language romantic drama directed by Shazia Iqbal, serving as a spiritual sequel to the 2018 film Dhadak and an official remake of the acclaimed 2018 Tamil film Pariyerum Perumal. The film stars Siddhant Chaturvedi as Neelesh, an idealistic law student from a historically marginalized community, who falls in love with his upper-caste classmate Vidhi, played by Triptii Dimri. As their relationship deepens, they are forced to confront brutal and deeply entrenched caste-based discrimination and violence instigated by Vidhi’s family.

Unlike a conventional romance, Dhadak 2 explores themes of identity, social oppression, and the devastating price of love in a society divided by caste. The film’s music is composed by Javed–Mohsin, Shreyas Puranik, Rochak Kohli, and Tanishk Bagchi. It was released on 1 August 2025.
