Devi Sri Prasad
Devi Sri Prasad, popularly known as DSP, is a renowned Indian music composer, playback singer, and lyricist primarily working in Telugu cinema. Born as Gandham Sriprasad on August 2, 1979, in Vedurupaka, Andhra Pradesh, DSP grew up surrounded by creativity, with his father G. Satyamurthy being a noted screenwriter.
From a young age, he developed a deep passion for music, particularly rhythm and melody, and trained under renowned mandolinist U. Srinivas. DSP’s music career started with devotional albums and jingles, with his breakthrough in film music coming in 1999 with the Telugu film Devi. Since then, he has become one of the most influential figures in South Indian cinema music.
