Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata (2026)

Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata (transl. “Dispenser of India’s Destiny”) is a Hindi-language biographical thriller that was released in theatres on 12 June 2026. Written and directed by Manoj Tapadia, and is co-produced by Kangana Ranaut under her Manikarnika Films banner, along with Pen Studios and Paramhans Creations. The cast includes Kangana Ranaut, Girija Oak Godbole, Smita Tambe, Suhita Thatte, and others. Rather than focusing on soldiers or police officers, the film pays tribute to the courage and sacrifices of healthcare workers during times of crisis.

Inspired by real events at Mumbai’s Cama Hospital during the 26/11 terror attacks in 2008, the story unfolds over a single terrifying night when armed terrorists enter the hospital premises. With hundreds of vulnerable patients trapped inside, doctors, nurses, ward staff, and other workers must rely on their courage, quick thinking, and humanity to save lives. Kangana Ranaut portrays Geeta Madhav Gandhare, a character inspired by the real-life nurse Anjali Kulthe, whose bravery helped protect pregnant women during the attacks. Through its emotional and intense narrative, Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata honors the unsung heroes of the medical community and highlights the power of compassion in the face of danger.
