Arjun Janya

Arjun Janya, born as Lokesh Kumar on 13 May 1980 in Bengaluru, is an Indian film composer, playback singer, and director who mainly works in the Kannada film industry. He started his musical career by assisting well-known composers V. Manohar and K. Kalyan and worked as a keyboard player in nearly 30 films before making his debut as a music director with Autograph Please in 2006. His breakthrough came with successful films like Birugaali (2009), Sanchari (2010), and Kempegowda (2011), which established him as one of the leading music composers in Sandalwood. He has received several prestigious honors, including Karnataka State Film Awards, SIIMA Awards, and Filmfare Awards South for his contribution to Kannada cinema.
Over the years, Arjun Janya has composed music for many popular films and built a strong reputation for creating both energetic commercial songs and soulful melodies. Apart from composing and singing, he has also mentored young talent as a judge on the reality show Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Kannada. In recent years, he expanded his creative journey by making his directorial debut with the multi-starrer film 45, proving his versatility beyond music. With his consistent success and unique musical style, Arjun Janya remains one of the most respected and influential personalities in contemporary Kannada cinema.
