Andhra King Taluka (2025)

Andhra King Taluka is a 2025 Telugu-language action comedy-drama written and directed by Mahesh Babu P. The film stars Ram Pothineni in a grounded and emotional role, alongside Kannada superstar Upendra and Bhagyashri Borse. The supporting cast includes Rao Ramesh, Murali Sharma, Satya, and Rahul Ramakrishna. Music for the film is composed by Vivek–Mervin, marking their Telugu debut, and it was released theatrically on 27 November 2025.

Set mainly in the year 2002, the story follows Sagar (Ram Pothineni), a die-hard fan from a remote village in East Godavari whose life revolves around his idol, the legendary actor Surya Kumar (Upendra), fondly known as the “Andhra King.” When Surya’s landmark 100th film is stalled due to a ₹3 crore budget shortfall, a mysterious deposit revives hope. The film traces how Sagar, despite his humble background, goes to extraordinary lengths to save his idol’s career and build a local theatre in his honor, all while battling personal challenges and opposition from his girlfriend’s father.
