Ali Zafar
Ali Zafar (born 18 May 1980 in Lahore, Pakistan) is a Pakistani singer, songwriter, composer, actor, and producer who is widely recognized across South Asia for his contributions to music and films. He began his career in the early 2000s and rose to instant fame with the song “Channo” from his debut album Huqa Pani (2003), which sold millions of copies and won several awards. His music spans multiple styles, including pop, rock, Sufi, and film music, and he later released successful albums such as Masty (2006) and Jhoom (2011), building a strong international fanbase.
In addition to his music career, Ali Zafar has worked extensively in films. He made his acting debut in the Bollywood movie Tere Bin Laden (2010) and later appeared in films such as Mere Brother Ki Dulhan and Chashme Baddoor. Over the years, he has received numerous honours, including Pakistan’s Pride of Performance award for his contributions to music and the arts. Alongside recording and acting, he continues to perform live concerts worldwide and remains a prominent figure in South Asian pop and film entertainment.
